About
Hello there! I'm Shavise, the creator of this blog, Flavor and Soul. Glad you could stop by for a spell.
Flavor and Soul
My hope for this blog (other than to serve as a creative outlet for me) is to inspire and encourage others to embrace their authentic selves, vulnerability and creative expression. If I can do it, so can you! This blog was originally dedicated to my new found love for cooking and anything food related. However, over the years my interests have expanded and I wanted my posts to reflect that. So now, it’s time to see how shifting to a lifestyle blog will go. I’m a former food blogger, working to explore and share the world around her.
How F&S Works
When this blog was originally created in 2015, it was dedicated to only food. To ensure a smooth transition into a lifestyle blog, many of the category names will remain the same, but with some shifts. As time goes on, please do expect additional shifts along the way. Thanks in advance for buckling up for the ride.
Recipes & All Things Foodie
If you are an original fan of Flavor and Soul and all things foodie related, the content is all here, alive and well. As I’m inspired to produce new recipes, unpack hidden gems and more in the foodie world, your safe haven is here.
Local Finds
In this segment of F&S you will find all things Baltimore (and surrounding areas) related. However, instead of only focusing on the new food product that I scored from the local market, I’m expanding to other products, locations and more.
F&S Favorites
F&S Favorites is where we will explore my favorite items, locations and more from any and everywhere. Once only dedicated for food products, you will start to see the content in this section venture into the world of art, music, clothing, home decor and more.
Reflections
Lastly, in the midst of this blog overhaul, a safe place for my rambling. Well, more like a safe place for my reflections, reviews of trips and a variety of experiences. If you are a fan of my wit and stories, you can take deeper dives in this section.
Thank You
Again, thank you for stopping by my blog, watching the rewiring of a full blog from one area of focus to another. It’ll be a fun ride, I promise. As you begin to explore this site more, please feel free to send me a note or leave a comment on a post. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. You can also find me on Facebook and Instagram.
