Over the past few years I’ve tried to be more intentional with items that I purchase overall. From food and cleaning products to clothing, I try to support businesses that have a deeper purpose than to just turn a profit. But before we even begin to dig into my purpose driven apparel shopping, I have to come clean on a few things. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the biggest fashionista in the world. If we’re being fully transparent here, my fashion history is a bit on the tragic side, but I’ve come a might long way.
In my quest to buy from more companies with missions that aligned with my own personal values, I discovered Beacon Threads. Beacon Threads is a faith based apparel company that was founded by the husband and wife duo, Brandon and Anita DeLoach. There are a number of other clothing brands with a great mission behind it, but I’ll have to be honest and state that this brand has stuck with me for a few years for a number or reasons.
In facing one of the most impactful seasons of my life so far, I saw an ad for a shirt. The shirt said ‘She doesn’t beg, force, or chase. She prays, works and has faith.’ and that message was something I not only needed to read, but was something I needed to carry with me. That same day, I ordered the shirt and mug. Sure, I’m a fan of their work in general, but there is something power about wearing a message that speaks to you. From that point on, I’ve purchased their apparel for myself and others for a number of reasons.
Beacon Threads remains a go to for me and a brand that I recommend to others because (drumroll….)
The designs and quality of their shirts, hats, hoodies and mugs are amazing. I’m one to wear my favorite shirts heavily and wash then just as much. I have to say I’m impressed with how long the color and softness lasts.
They have clothing for everyone in the family. My son loves his shirts and is even more vocal on the designs that he wants. And I also have a few friends, male and female, who enjoy their shirts as well.
The messaging on their products are both powerful and relatable. So yes, I have a shirt and a mug with the same message and I’m proud, lol.
Not only are their products beautiful and made with great quality, they are also affordable. Some brands will charge and arm and a leg with less quality, but Beacon Threads gives quality, comfort and great cost!!
